Who Runs This Site

wallinsulationireland.ie is an independent directory of SEAI-approved wall and attic insulation contractors, run by Dave Coleman. For data protection purposes, Dave Coleman is the data controller for this site.

What Data We Hold, and Why

Contractor listings. The directory holds the following about each listed contractor: business name, phone number, email address, county, the insulation measures they are registered for, and the regions they cover. This is taken from the SEAI public register of registered contractors, published by SEAI, and is used to help homeowners find a registered contractor. We rely on legitimate interest to process it.

Contractor email addresses are not published on this site. They are held only so that an enquiry submitted through the form on a contractor's own profile page reaches that business. The address is never shown on the page, never included in the page code, and is not passed to anyone else. Phone numbers are published, because a contact number is the point of a trade directory listing.

Homeowner enquiries. When you send an enquiry through a contractor's profile, we collect the name, phone number, email and message you provide. It goes straight to that contractor by email so they can reply, delivered by our email provider Resend, with the site operator copied so we can keep the directory working. It is never sold and is not passed to any lead broker. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated abuse.

Some of the email addresses on the SEAI register are personal-style addresses rather than company ones. Where that is the case we treat them as personal data and handle them on the same basis set out here.

Grant checker. If you use the grant checker or guides on this site, we do not collect personal information, only general answers used to estimate a grant amount.

Basic analytics. We use standard web analytics to understand overall site traffic. This does not identify you personally and is not used for advertising.

How Long We Keep It

Contractor listing data is kept for as long as the directory operates, or until the business asks for it to be corrected or removed.

If You Are a Listed Contractor

If any detail in your listing is wrong, out of date, or you would like your business removed from the directory entirely, get in touch and we will action it promptly. Under data protection law you can ask us to:

• Correct inaccurate information about your business (Article 16)
• Remove your listing entirely (Article 17)
• Tell you what data we hold about your business (Article 15)

Email dave@daveacoleman.com with the business name and listing URL, and we will confirm once it is done. Please use email rather than a messaging app, so both of us have a record of the request and the date it was made.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete your data, and to object to how it is used. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
